Eldora, 13-Dec-04
My final view to the east. The flatlands can't be seen due to the "brown cloud" of the Denver metro area. It rather shocked me how it built up over the day. At 10:30, I could see the flatlands, and some of the major straight streets. Now about 3:00, the crud covers the cities. Kind of sad. But my day at Eldora is almost over. I was bummed that snow is such an issue here. Prior to this visit here, I was not the skier that I am today. After buying a discounted ticket for $47, I think it will be quite a long time before I return. I thought about how much more fun I would have had at my Beloved Loveland. Since I already have a Loveland season pass, I would have spent nothing extra to ski there. But I do have many fond memories of Eldora, and had to give it a try. After 20 some years, it was much like going to a new ski area.
