More of the silly Key snow piles. I learned from a patroller today that they find if they make the piles, wait two weeks for them to drain, they make for better snow. Not an impression made on me. I find Key just as glacier icy as it was 26 years ago. Key really needs to get a copy of the Loveland snowmakers (They are from NZ) playbook if they want to make great snow RIGHT AWAY! I don't think these clowns REALLY know what they are doing. But I have had the best 6 guys on the planet take care of my HOME ski area. Matter of fact, they are no longer working at Loveland. Weeks ago, they moved on to Europe to show them how it is done. Two more things make no sense. First, Key brags how they have their snowmaking so computerized that it makes perfect snow. The weather stations help the computers adjust the air/water mix at each gun. Hmm, I smell a lie here. Second, the company that brags so much about their grooming had a tough time providing me with a nice blue groomer. But, there is another reason I am here, and that is soon to be revealed.
